Sows
The piglets come from an own sow farm in the Netherlands. In this location, 1500 sows are held with PIC top breeding sows. 2% of PIC pure English Landras sows are held for the production of the Camborough subbreed sow. That means that the English Landras sow is mixed with the PIC Large White race. 120 of these animals are held for the production of the multiplication sows. The Camborough sow has the ability to inherit good meat quality and produces animals that very efficiently deal with feeding.
The Camborough sow is mixed with a Danish York of DanBred. For this mix is chosen because of the production of uniform fattening pigs with good growcapacity.
